ArtCenter College of Design is a hub, focal point, gathering place, and launchpad for those in the creative fields. Arguably, the school is the global birthplace for the majority of car designers. Annually, the college pays homage to those with the ArtCenter Car Classic 2019.
ArtCenter’s annual Car Classic features unique, custom, specially built vehicles that will include early coachbuilt cars, custom hot rods and motorcycles, concept cars, bespoke supercars, and specially modified vehicles from all eras—classic to modern to concept.
The world’s most respected designers gather at annual mobility love fest to pay tribute to stunning details, imaginative rides and customized works of art with this year’s theme of “Built by Hand”.
The 2016 Car Classic is more than just another high-profile car show, this popular public event celebrates the very best in automotive design, showcasing the College’s strong ties to industry and honoring many of our noteworthy alumni. This year, ACCD highlights handcrafted vehicles from the past and present and will hear from the people who build and collect them.
Whether it’s yesterday’s dream of the flying car, today’s shared driving experience or tomorrow’s autonomous vehicles, artists and designers have been depicting the future of transportation design—and bringing it to life. The annual Art Center Car Classic is the one place to see it all, and those that make the magic happen!
One of the most awaited car events of the year. Pebble Beach might have a golf course and the Pacific Ocean, but this has everything else you could ever want nestled within the foothills of Pasadena, CA.
