ArtCenter College of Design Presents the 2026 Design Invitational, a celebration of transportation design excellence with a special focus on Italian Design. The popular event returns to Pasadena on Sunday, May 31 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The 2025 Design Invitational offers car enthusiasts and design lovers a rare opportunity to explore groundbreaking concepts, iconic designs, trendsetters, new models and timeless classics, plus an exhibition of vehicles spanning 8 decades.
ArtCenter College of Design is a hub, focal point, gathering place, and launchpad for those in the creative fields. Arguably, the school is the global birthplace for the majority of car designers. Annually, the college pays homage to those with the ArtCenter Car Classic 2019.
This year, ArtCenter’s annual Car Classic celebrates the 70th anniversary of the College’s Transportation Design program and the indelible mark our alumni have made on the world around us, and of course the cars that we know and love.
Many ArtCenter alumni of the school’s transportation design department represent the cream of the crop in the world of mobility design. This is why Car Classic is considered a “homecoming”.
