The Mullin Gallery will not feature any permanent collections. In addition to transportation related exhibits the multi-functional gallery is planned to showcase various topics in art and design in the coming years.
This year, ArtCenter’s annual Car Classic celebrates the 70th anniversary of the College’s Transportation Design program and the indelible mark our alumni have made on the world around us, and of course the cars that we know and love.
The IDEA program has represented the pinnacle of design achievement for 38 years. “For anyone who is a maker, who is building something, it’s the ultimate achievement to win an IDEA.”
The upcoming International Design Conference is where designers from a variety of disciplines are coming together to cultivate shared understandings and rally around common themes and challenges.
“We already have a wealth of experience with high-performance cars and with racing cars, but a powerful prototype like the I.D. R Pikes Peak was a world first for us,” said Klaus Bischoff, Head of Volkswagen Design.
