The Malamut Museum isn’t like the Petersen. There’s no constant flow of visitors. This is an invite only affair. The owners, Mike Malamut and his wife, like to keep it personal. The couple, a few hired helpers, and their large, all-observing German shepherd run the show. Oh yes, and there is an eye-popping collection of cars too!

One example of the music and auto connection is the Sauvage “One-Piece Master”, which is largely inspired by the love of automotive design. “When designing the ‘One-Piece Master’, we were strongly influenced by the car industry; especially the luxurious cars like the Bugatti, Porsche, and some French brand called Facel Vega.

The new Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles is now the center of the automotive universe. This landmark is bringing together the very best of the best. This is where cars are truly treated as art, and simply being cool isn’t necessarily enough to earn a share of the floor space.
