Singer Vehicle Design Displays $2M of Restored Vehicles at Monterey

LOS ANGELES – (August 13, 2014) - During a weekend globally recognized for representing the "best of the best" within the glamorous world of fine motoring, Singer Vehicle Design (SVD), the dedicated coach-building company that restores and modifies existing vintage Porsche automobiles, is set to make a very bold statement – by showcasing nearly $2m-worth of restored vehicles throughout the Monterey Peninsula August 12 – 17, 2014 – and specifically, boasting the most extreme versions to be displayed by SVD yet. According to Rob Dickinson, creator and founder of SVD, the excitement for Singer this week is to present two sides of the restoration and modification work carried out by the company – beginning with an overtly luxurious gentleman's touring car and continuing with a completely over-the-top sports version.

Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Coupé Waterspeed Collection at Pebble

Woodcliff Lake, NJ, (August 15, 2014) -- The Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Coupé Waterspeed Collection, which was conceived to celebrate Sir Malcolm Campbell's act of setting a new world water-speed record in 1937, has made its North American debut following its presentation at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering Event this morning. On Sunday, it will appear by the water at the Concours D'Elégance at Pebble Beach – the world's premier celebration of the automobile and a fitting backdrop to the latest Collection car from Rolls-Royce Motor Cars. It was on the morning of 1 September 1937 that Campbell established his legend, setting a world-record speed of 126.33mph on Italy's Lake Maggiore in the famous Bluebird K3 boat powered by a Rolls-Royce R-Engine.

McLaren P1 GTR Design Concept Debuts at Private Pebble Beach Event

(8/15/2014) -- Twenty years ago, the then soon-to-be-launched McLaren F1 GTR began testing ahead of an assault on the 1995 GT season. The track derivative, as the road-going version had done, rewrote the rule book and the claimed victories and titles across the globe in the years that followed, securing a place in motorsport folklore. Two decades on, and the covers have been pulled off the dramatic and purposeful McLaren P1™ GTR design concept during a private event at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance event in California. The aggressive racing concept is a preview to the final model which, with a little under a year until production commences, has now entered the next phase as the development team works to hone and further optimise the ultimate track-focused racer.
