Calty Design Draws Inspiration from Maker Faire, Urban Lifestyle Trends

SAN FRANCISCO, CA (Sept. 10, 2014) – The do-it-yourself movement is transforming cities with invention-focused Maker Faire events, growing entrepreneurship, and a new Toyota concept to fit these trends. Inspired by a growing innovative spirit in urban areas, Toyota revealed today the Urban Utility concept vehicle – or U2 – at a private panel discussion hosted by Make: magazine in San Francisco. Russian Ladas Eyes Invading European Market in 2015/2016

MOSCOW, (Sept. 7, 2014) -- AvtoVAZ, the largest automaker based in Russia, a part of Rostec Corporation, announced that it has introduced three new concept cars at the Moscow International Motor Show 2014. All are aimed to attract foreign and domestic customers as well as "restore people's pride for the brand of LADA" according to AvtoVAZ CEO Bo Inge Andersson. The move comes on the heels of AvtoVAZ-Renault-Nissan becoming the fourth largest manufacturer of automobiles worldwide following several successful moves by Rostec. Having become a shareholder of AvtoVAZ in 2008, Rostec appointed a group of managers to develop AvtoVAZ in 2009.

8 Design Studios Explore Human-to-Machine Connectivity at 2014 LAAS

LOS ANGELES, CA (September 3, 2014) – The Los Angeles Auto Show (LA Auto Show®) today announced that the theme for its 11th annual Design Challenge will prompt participants to explore the idea: "Sensing the Future: How Will Cars Interact with Us In 2029?" One of the most recognized auto design competitions in the world, LA Auto Show Design Challenge has confirmed participation from eight world-renowned design studios, each submitting a concept to showcase a connected vehicle or interface system designed with human emotion in mind. Entrants will explore interiors that will emotionally, comfortably and safely connect the driver and/or passengers to the car by 2029.
