One could say the end of the mid-century period happened with the demise of leaded gasoline. Those bold influences from that era continue to shape us and form our ideas as to what’s esthetically pleasing. Colors, shapes, and materials evoke an emotional response. Functional or not, mid-century modern has attitude… A Go-Go attitude!
The Cul de Sac A-Go-Go provides a snapshot (or maybe a slide show would be a better reference) of a time gone by. The production is a live-action emersion into life in the 60s and 70s. We can’t bring back those days, but we can capture the essence in photos from the recent event this past October in Palm Springs.
Fortunately, Tom Dolle and Jeff Stork, along with a strong support staff, put on a event worth attending. Sure, it’s entertaining, but take a few extra moments to soak it all in. There’s an education in images, and every picture tells a story.
