How does one design better cars for the years to come? Having a crystal ball or watching "Back To The Future" a few dozen more times might help. The next, and more realistic option is having good data. Here are a few factors in what type of cars and features consumers, both males and females, want.
Besides all of the fantastic instruments, musicians and performances make the NAMM Show experience second to none. On one hand you have bands like the George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic, and on the other there's the jazzy feel of the Levin Brothers. Attendees get the up close and personal experience of a couple talented musicians at a small, exhibitor's show booth and the big time stage performances, along with everything in between. Our gallery captures some of the best moments in time and sound, plus we get inside the heads of few musicians! This is NAMM!

Trying to covey all of the overwhelming variety of instruments is an exercise in futility. However, a picture is worth a thousand words. So, AutoDesignO is providing a collection of images that speaks volumes as to what one can find at the 2015 NAMM Show. The carefully crafted instruments provide a wide palate of colors, materials, and textures, which in many instances would look right at home on something other than just guitars, drums, or horns. With only a slight bit of imagination it’s easy to see automotive applications in nearly every product.
The 2015 NAMM Show is a focal point for those seeking out the hottest innovations in musical products, the recording industry, and related aspects of the music business. Bottom line, this is where the cool kids come and get their sugar rush, or at least the buyers for the candy stores come to stock up.
The core belief at NAMM is that everyone should have the opportunity to make music. A channel to release that pent up creativity and energy is a fundamental human need. Just imagine a world where making music is a part of each and every life. This association is changing the world and inspiring. And, when it comes to the creativity in auto design and music, well, let's just say great minds think alike!
At the Consumer Electronics Show 2015 in Las Vegas, BMW will confirm and consolidate its status as a leading innovator in this field and as a premium mobility provider when it presents applications for new digital devices. It will also present new driver assistance systems and intelligent lighting technology at CES that will help to bring “Vision Zero” – the vision of accident-free personal mobility – a further step closer to reality. A host of new technology helps define what luxury really means, and BMW is poised to jump on the bandwagon.
Toyota will invite royalty-free use of approximately 5,680 fuel cell related patents held globally, including critical technologies developed for the new Toyota Mirai. The list includes approximately 1,970 patents related to fuel cell stacks, 290 associated with high-pressure hydrogen tanks, 3,350 related to fuel cell system software control and 70 patents related to hydrogen production and supply. “At Toyota, we believe that when good ideas are shared, great things can happen,” said Bob Carter, Senior Vice President of Automotive Operations at Toyota Motor Sales, USA Inc. But, is this really the whole story? It doesn't take much to make us wonder, and that's before we even discuss the design of the Mirai!
The future will offer many things in mobility, but few of them will be the same. Autonomous driving opens up new freedoms in design that are, well, revolutionary. The Mercedes-Benz F 015 features an unusual monolithic exterior with a high-tech feel, with flowing transitions characterize the lounge-like interior. "Anyone who focuses solely on the technology has not yet grasped how autonomous driving will change our society. The car is growing beyond its role as a mere means of transport and will ultimately become a mobile living space," explains Dr. Dieter Zetsche, Chairman of the Board of Management of Daimler AG and Head of Mercedes-Benz Cars.
