Andrea Zagato, CEO of the legendary Italian coachbuilding and design dynasty, at the pre-premiere of the Grand Basel paid homage to the IsoRivolta brand allowing a very first glimpse of the design of a new car.

Together with Paolo Tumminelli, founding chairman of the Grand Basel Advisory Board, he partially unveiled the sports car Zagato IsoRivolta Vision Gran Turismo. The tribute to the IsoRivolta brand will return in full glory in October 2017 – first on the virtual tracks of the world-famous racing simulation Grand Turismo Sport, on Sony PlayStation.

“The Vision Gran Turismo, even if it was thought for the Sony PlayStation, is shaped on the base of our experience in designing real cars” said Andrea Zagato. “I dream of returning to the Grand Basel 2018 with a V-max concept of the IsoRivolta Vision”.

IsoRivolta perfectly embodies the idea of the “Gran Turismo”: a striking Italian car body design, combined with powerful engines. This tribute to the prestigious brand is a family affair: Marella Rivolta-Zagato is not only Andrea’s wife, but also Zagato’s Art Director. The couple has transformed the company from the craft business into a modern total design studio, specializing in the production of extraordinary automobiles – among others for Aston Martin and Ferrari. Marella Rivolta-Zagato was born in the upper Italian automobile aristocracy; her father produced the iconic high-performance sports cars of the IsoRivolta brand. His was also the Isetta, then built by BMW.
